Featuring both the Intel Atom® x7000RE Processor Series for the Edge and the Intel Atom® x7000C Processor Series for Network and Security Appliances, the FWS-2291 utilizes processors based on the Alder Lake-N / Amston platform, delivering up to 49% faster single-thread performance and 61% faster multithread performance compared to previous generations.
Hybrid Fiber & Copper Setup
Equipped with a powerful combination of four 2.5GbE RJ-45 copper ports and two GbE SFP ports, alongside two pairs of LAN bypass, the FWS-2291 is ideal for hybrid environments requiring both long-distance fiber uplinks and local high-speed LAN connectivity.
Wireless Expansion Support
The FWS-2291 offers M.2 3052 B-Key and M.2 2230 E-Key slots, alongside multi-panel antenna openings, providing reliable options to integrate 5G, 4G/LTE, and Wi-Fi functionality—crucial for modern SD-WAN deployments.
